GHIRARDO CPA ANNOUNCES MERGER WITH SCOTT PORTER CPA

Ghirardo CPA announces its merger with Scott Porter CPA's Petaluma office as of December, 2010. Already the largest independent Marin County CPA firm, this merger fuels Ghirardo CPA's growth and reflects their commitment to client service. The common vision of the two ownership teams allows both offices to serve closely-held business and individual clients throughout the North Bay from one shared team of highly trained CPAs and MBAs.

Ghirardo CPA was founded in 1990 by Jerry and Steve Ghirardo, continuing a legacy of accounting service started by their father thirty years ago. Greta Hoversten joined as a shareholder in 2008. The Novato practice is a 5-time award winner as one of the Best Places to Work in the North Bay and has been cited on numerous occasions for their community service and support. They have a talented staff that is highly credentialed in tax and accounting, and the firm has a number of international team members fluent in several foreign languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Russian, German and Italian.

Scott Porter, CPA, has been practicing public accounting for over twenty years. His practice is in its tenth year of serving individual clients and small business with tax, accounting, and consulting services from Petaluma, CA. Scott merged with GCPA to provide Ghirardo CPA's broader array of services for his clients and continue his firm's growth in the North Bay.
