Elaine was born and raised in El Monte, California. In 1992, she moved to Novato and worked as a stay-at-home mom. Eventually, Elaine began bookkeeping for friends on a part-time basis. These bookkeeping jobs included several Taco Bells, a Papyrus franchise and a quilt shop. In 2005 Elaine attended Empire College in Santa Rosa and graduated with a Specialized Associates Degree in Paralegalism. In 2008, she accepted a position with Ghirardo CPA in the Business Services department.

Elaine has worked many volunteer jobs in churches she has attended since 1976. Those positions included teaching women and children, organizing dinners, trips, and serving on leadership committees. She has two adult children who are living in New York. Elaine lives in Petaluma with her pug Brinkley. In her free time, Elaine likes to read, quilt, and go to the movies.
