Joyce joined the Ghirardo CPA team in July 2006. Previous to Ghirardo, she was co-owner, President and CFO of Welcome Aboard Inc. and several retail stores located in Novato: Amen, Welcome Aboard Gifts, Welcome Aboard Art’s and Crafts, The Boat Shop at Port Sonoma, The Novato Boat Shop Incorporated, Hallelujah Properties, and Ben Franklin Crafts in Santa Rosa. In 1982 she established and was president of the Old Town Novato Merchants Association and did the leg work to bring the Farmers Market to town. She has a wealth of retail and administrative experience at the executive level.

Joyce has two adult sons and three grandchildren that live in Novato, as well as four grown, adopted children that live in California and Washington. She has been a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran church for 32 years and has served on almost every board and committee at one time or another. When she is not working or volunteering, her time is spent with family and her dog Tagg. Reading, cooking, quilting and gardening are also high on her list as forms of relaxation.
